At La Soursol, the expression "haven of peace" takes on its full meaning. This centuries-old farmhouse, nestled on the banks of the Tarn River, offers a tranquil and verdant setting where one immediately feels transported to another time. The somewhat enigmatic name, La Soursol, undoubtedly reveals the presence of water, a spring on the property.

These historic buildings, renovated inside and carefully decorated in the traditional style, retain their walls of red brick and pebbles patiently gathered from the Tarn riverbed. The former henhouse, the woodshed, the chapel, and the old pigsties are arranged around a shaded, grassy patio planted with magnificent trees. The surrounding arcades evoke the image of a cloister.

Located halfway between Albi and Gaillac, La Soursol is an ideal base for discovering the treasures of the Tarn region. On one side, the Episcopal City of Albi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, captivates visitors with its majestic Sainte-Cécile Cathedral, the Berbie Palace, and the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum. On the other, Gaillac invites you to discover one of France's oldest wine regions, its vineyards, fortified towns (bastides), and rolling landscapes. In the heart of the Bastide Country, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Castelnau-de-Montmiral, and Puycelsi are among the must-see destinations to explore during your stay. Just 2 km away, the Aiguelèze leisure park offers swimming, water sports, tennis, golf, and fishing, all easily accessible by bike.

The 150 m² gîte (holiday cottage) includes, on the ground floor, a large living area with a fully equipped open-plan kitchen, dining area, lounge with television, and a separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, filter coffee maker, Nespresso Vertuo® coffee machine, kettle, and food processor.
